Yes, twice in the last three years. Absolutely wonderful in all respects. Newmon will arrange a tailor-made trip to suit your requirements. He provided the four of us with a 15 seater air con minibus with our own driver from start to finish (who new where to procure beer!). Everywhere we stayed was superb, from a magical homestay to the traditional luxury of Marari Beach and Kaav Lodge The lodge was a fabulous way to conclude our three weeks; atmospheric and maybe the most magical place we've stayed in. Options to join 3 or 4 safaris and see a huge variety of wildlife - including a tiger from 20 metres. Newmon is a great communicator, always patient and prepared to adapt and change until days before the holiday. Price is much better than any deals we could find on line. Several of our friends have used The Indian Journeys, two of them are out there now experiencing a carbon copy of our itinerary and all would share our enthusiasm. We booked our flights using Sky Scanner (Etihad) for £408. Could go on at length but must pay tribute to the delightful Kerala people, the scenery and maybe the best food you will ever eat.

We used Newmon at "The Indian Journeys» tour company for our 3 week no stop tour of India, which included Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kochi-Thekkady, Marari. He arranged all the hotels and transport, internal flights, the lot !!!! We had our own personal mini Van with our superb driver Pavan. At each stop we had a personal guide to tell us the history of the area and what we were seeing. There was no way we would have seen so much if Newmon had not organized our time so well. Last December I travel with my girlfriend around India, Rajasthan and Kerala. If you are planning to travel to India, be prepare for an amazing country but also my advise is to prepare your travel really well. To define where to go is a challenge; this was our first step with the India Journeys, they gave us really good recommendation about the different places to visit according to our expectations and budget. We decided to book with them a package for Kerala, and travel in Rajasthan by our own, and I won’t recommend to travel in India without a travel agency, especially if you are planning to visit different cities, and it is your first time in India. It is better to have a small travel agency, like the Indian Journeys, which personalize the travel as you want and take care of everything. In Kerala, The India Journeys organized for us a perfect romantic travel, with a professional driver, and really good hotels. New Mon, our travel agent, took care of everything including some train tickets for Rajasthan that I couldn’t book online, he also organized for us a romantic dinner in a fantastic place, the best romantic dinner that I have ever had.

Having just returned from a fabulous trip to Kerala, I have no hesitation in recommending The Indian Journeys and Mr Newmon. As part of our trip, The Indian Journeys organised a weeklong tour to experience the tea plantations and spectacular scenery of the Western Ghats, the spice plantations of the Cardamom Hills, elephant riding and bathing (great fun) in Thekkady, and luxury cruising in a houseboat on The Backwaters. From the first contact following our enquiry, right through to end of our trip, the service provided by Mr Newmon was exceptional. A brief call from Mr Newmon each evening to check all was going well was one example of the attentive service The Indian Journeys provide. When our itinerary was disrupted by a local strike, Mr Newmon calmly and quickly contacted drivers and guides to readjust our itinerary to ensure we didn't miss out. Our driver was very experienced, polite, punctual and helpful and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. You'll be in very safe hands if you use The Indian Journeys.

We have returned from a 24 day long trip to South India, which has been a success. The itinerary was arranged for several weeks with Mr. Newmon, of The Indian Journeys. He booked us the 10 hotels for 22 nights and he provide us two cars with driver, one in Maharastra, and another from Hyderabad to Cochin. The driver waited us in every case at the airport’s arrival with the hotel vouchers and a description of the places to visit each day. The two drivers were very useful to us as guides and as protectors, particularly the second, Mr. Santosh. The hotels were of good quality and very well located. Being able to travel by private car with a driver that was at our service at all times was very useful and made us gain a lot of time in our many drives, which would have taken twice as long with public transport in a country so large and unknown for us. The director of the agency, Mr. Newmon, called us many nights to supervise the good progress of the trip. And so it was, we ended up very happy. We were recommended the services of Newmon and his company 'The Indian journeys' by friends who had travelled with him twice before. We have been on a number of tours, usually using the major travel agents such as Trailfinders etc. The care by the owner of the company before and during our holiday was outstanding, taking us out for a meal on our first night and ringing us nearly every day to make sure all was well was outstanding service. The combination of hotels and home stays was well balanced and without exception, good value, with wonderful food at all. Changes to our planned itinerary caused by a fire at one of the wildlife reserves was dealt with quickly and efficiently without any fuss. The driver we had for 3 weeks (Christo) made the holiday the experience it was . Driving us safely around the sights of Kerala, helping us to get cash from the ATM machines and obtaining beer from the state run outlets without spending hours in the queues........ At all times we felt secure in the knowledge that our tour had been organised by a professional and local company. I would without hesitation recommend The Indian Journeys if you are considering a trip India.
